Description | Lane reductions on Interstate 81 in Syracuse have begun as part of the ongoing I-81 Viaduct Project. Northbound traffic is reduced to one lane between Exit 17 and Exit 18 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through September 5. Southbound lanes are also reduced between Exit 18 and Exit 17 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. These reductions are necessary to relocate a temporary concrete barrier. Additional overnight closures and slowdowns are expected for steel beam installation on the Bear Street bridge from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weeknights through September 6. |
