Description | The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is widening I-81 between exits 143 and 150 in Botetourt County and Roanoke County to increase capacity and improve safety. The project includes adding an additional lane in each direction, replacing several bridges, realigning ramps at Exit 150, constructing sound barriers, removing existing concrete pavement, adding interchange lighting, extending acceleration and deceleration lanes, and installing concrete barrier walls in narrow median sections. |
