Workers will repave the existing roadway shoulders to create auxiliary lanes. These lanes will be located on the outside of the existing lanes in both directions of I-90, adding capacity and accessibility to all travelers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. WSDOT also will build sound walls along a section of the project next to the I-90 pedestrian and bicycle trail. Bellevue Transportation Department staff are coordinating with WSDOT to minimize traffic impacts on city streets.
