By submitting this application, we are presenting I AM HERE BUT YOU CAN’T SEE ME, our latest project, in co-development with Paraiso Production Diffusion (France), asterisk* (Greece) and Roummana (Lebanon). I’M HERE BUT YOU CAN’T SEE ME is a mystery-fantasy film that takes place in a hyper-realistic city that is inspired by the real Beirut. The city has been tormented by evil forces that suppress its citizens and Viola, our protagonist, is the head of the social uprising, with a mission to free her city from the evil that has taken the lead over their lives. Our four-party co-production intends to combine the know-how of all four partners involved, in order to increase the project’s potential to reach a high artistic level and travel widely beyond its co-producing territories. Our next steps include the development of our script's final draft, the attachment of key crew members and cast, location scouting, applying to production funds, deals with distribution partners, and the positioning of our project to the international market. The budget will be split between the four countries and reflects all of the above activities. In terms of administrative cooperation, all three sides will be running the project with lead producers Spanish Felipe Lage, French Nathalie Trafford, Greek Vicky Miha and Lebanese Nermine Haddad. All partners will employ additional personnel for the project. So far, 17 film professionals (writers, producers, production assistants, production coordinators, line producers, consultants, DoP, editor, composer, etc) are included in the project. Our goal for the CE Application is to further develop our project having as a priority respect the European values and work towards a more sustainable, diverse and equal film industry. As producers, our ambition is to support our director Feyrouz Serhal throughout all stages and produce a film that can reach audiences all over the world.
