_x000C_International Auto Limited (IAL or the company) is a leading Indian manufacturer of automotive transmission products and construction equipment components, headquartered in Pune in western India. It is one of the largest independent vendors to Tata Motors Limited, an existing IFC client and India’s leading producer of commercial and passenger vehicles. IAL has been short listed by Caterpillar of the US for heavy fabrication and Klein Gelenkwellen of Germany (the largest transmission manufacturer in Europe) for supply of transmission products. The company seeks to meet this growing demand through an expansion plan to be implemented by the end of FY06 (the project). Under the terms of the IAL proposes to expand its operations across all six of its existing factories at Jamshedpur (3 plants), Pune (2 plants) and Dharwar (1 plant). The company also proposes to set up a new unit at Chennai that will manufacture construction equipment components, initially for dedicated sales to Caterpillar and acquire additional working capital.
