Description | Information Mahanadi Coalfields Limited [MCL] has come up with IB VALLEY WASHERY with a ticket size of 392.76 INR Crores. The current status of the project is Work in Progress and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project MCL is setting up Ib-Valley Non-coking coal Washery in the Lakhanpur area, Jharsuguda district, Odisha State of capacity 10 MTPA on Heavy Media Cyclone technology to produce washed coal of 33.5 plus or minus 0.5 ash percentage. Work has been awarded to M/s Global Coal & Mining Private Ltd, construction work of which is under progress. Coal Beneficiation/Coal washing is crucial from both environmental & economic angles. This washery would help in improving the quality of coal in terms of ash percentage which in turn results in the improvement of the heat value of coal and reduction in the transportation of ash over long distances. |
