Description | Construction has resumed on a controversial solar project near the IBM Glen nature preserve. The project had been halted due to drainage problems causing water runoff that damaged the preserve. The developer has been allowed to resume construction and is currently installing solar panels. The runoff issues have worsened, causing damage to the forest floor and trees at the IBM Glen, which is owned by the Waterman Conservation Education Center. The center's executive director plans to contact the state Department of Environmental Conservation regarding the ongoing problems. The property is owned by Homestead Village Development Group LLC of Vestal. |
