Description | In April 2008, Contugas, a subsidiary of the Colombian Grupo Energia de Bogota (EEB), was awarded the right to build and operate a natural gas transport and distribution system in the department of ICA (cities of Pisco, Ica, Nazca, Marcona and Chicha). The sponsors committed to install 50,000 connections. The bidding criteria and the names of the other participants in the bidding process were not available. The 30-year contract was signed in March 2009, and commercial operations commenced in April 2014. The total investment in the project was estimated at US$ 250 million. |
