Description

Description

The proposal represents a continued successful management of the Creative Europe Desk in Iceland. Rannís has been appointed by the Ministry of culture and business to represent the Desk for the Creative Europe programme 2021-2027. Rannís is the hosting organisation for other European programmes like Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, LIFE; Digital Europe and Enterprise Europe Network, as well as the EEA grants and Nordic programmes such as Nordplus and Nordforsk. In addition, Rannis is the main funding agency at national level and manages national funds in the fields of education, culture, research and innovation. Our goal is to maintain the achievements already reached by managing the CED Iceland for from the year 2014 and build on the success of the programme. We continue to promote Creative Europe at national level and by reaching out to stakeholders around the country in all sectors of the Audiovisual business and Culture. We also want to promote the Creative Europe Programme in Europe, to continue the pan-European cooperation between Icelandic and European Producers, Distributors, Festivals, Sales Agents, Theaters, Art Institutions and Events Organisers and support the transnational distribution of European Culture between our countries and onwards at an international level. We plan to work towards increasing the Icelandic participation in all actions of the programme for the years to come. The objectives and priorities of the new programme will be widely promoted and duly implemented in the activities of the Desk, as well as through stakeholders’ proposals.
