Description | Japan's Inpex Corp. will supply two additional cargoes of natural gas condensate from its Australian Ichthys liquefied natural gas export project to domestic refiners in Australia to help alleviate fuel shortages. The first cargo of about 630,000 barrels is scheduled to leave the Ichthys offshore facility in late April 2026 for delivery to a refinery on Australia's east coast in May 2026. The condensate is a by-product of the LNG exported from the plant. Inpex operates and owns 67.82% of Ichthys, which can produce more than 100,000 barrels a day of condensate. |
