Ichthys LNG Project

Ichthys is a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) project located off the northwest coast of Australia. It includes deep offshore production facilities, two floating production units, a gas pipeline, and a liquefaction plant. The project extracts gas and condensate from the Ichthys field in the Browse Basin, processes them on a central processing facility and a floating production storage and offloading unit, and transports gas via a pipeline to the Bladin Point liquefaction plant for LNG production and export. The project has an annual LNG production capacity of 8.9 million metric tons and an operating life of 40 years for the CPF and FPSO. It was designed to withstand extreme weather and comply with environmental standards, including combined cycle technology at the liquefaction plant and gas recovery systems on offshore units.
