Description
Description | IDB Invest is considering an investment of up to US$10 million in the IDC Regional Partnership Fund for Economic Mobility, which Valante Capital (Valante or the Fund Manager) is raising and will co-invest alongside the IDC Ascend II Fund (both vehicles jointly referred to as the “Fund”). The Fund has a US$250 million target and is focused on multisector equity investments primarily in Central America and the Caribbean, but also in Ecuador and Bolivia. These markets have strong potential for upward economic mobility into the middle class, on which the Fund capitalizes by investing in food security, consumer, and retail – fragmented sectors with growth and exit potential. The Fund Manager has extensive investment experience and has a deep regional network. |
