The project comprises two plants: Principal and Gran Bosque Urbano, located in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila. The capacity is 1,200 and 70 l/s respectively. Ideal Saneamiento [Mexico] developed the executive project, construction, electromechanical equipment supply, operation tests, operation, maintenance, and conservation of Principal and Gran Bosque Urbano waste water treatment plants, including the removal and final disposal of solid waste, as well as the executive project and construction of the relevant dischargers. The construction period was 30 months and concession period 17.5 years. In April 2008 Ideal Saneamiento started the operations of the waste water treatment and cleaning plant. The lands on which the Project was developed were granted as a gratuituous loan by the Municipality of Saltillo, state of Coahuila, for a period of 18 years, the period during which Ideal Saneamiento will operate and maintain the Project. Upon expiration of such period, Ideal Saltillo will deliver to the municipality all operating projects at no cost for the municipality, under the terms of the service agreement signed by both parties. Ideal Saneamiento contributed to the trust created to develop the Project with a total risk capital of $120,228 (thousand pesos) over the Project’s construction and equipment supply term. It also agreed to promote, manage, obtain, and allocate economic resources up to an amount of $503,409 (thousand pesos) to cover the required investment that would allow undertaking the provisions set forth in such contract. In April 2013 there was a debt refinancing of US$20.6m (MXP250m). Additional research is needed.
