Description

Description

Forum réfugiés-Cosi proposes to initiate the project “identification of TRafficked International Protection beneficiaries’ Special needs” (TRIPS). It is a transnational project that offers to analyze the international protection-trafficking in human beings (THB) nexus through the prism of integration special needs of trafficked beneficiaries of international protection (BIP) and to equip national authorities and civil society organizations to tackle integration crosscutting issues (protection, housing, rehabilitation, access to labor market, training, inclusion, psychosocial support as well as security) and to improve relations and partnership between other organizations (health centers, police…). Indeed, integration of these BIP might be challenged by their very specific vulnerabilities. These needs have to be addressed to allow them to benefit from an appropriated integration process by EU members. Forum réfugiés-Cosi has previously coordinated a project on identification of TRafficked Asylum seeKers’ Special needs (TRACKS). Based on the results and tools of this project, Forum réfugiés-Cosi proposes to pursue its research on how to identify and address specific needs of trafficked BIP in their integration, following the scope of TRACKS focusing on the THB as part of the asylum procedure. The general objective of this project is to better identify and address specific needs of victims of THB beneficiaries of international protection in relation to their integration process in the host society through a European comparative approach. On the long term, at EU and national level, alert and orientation guidelines included in the toolbox will be embedded in integration and THB practitioners’ practices. The number of trafficked BIP identified in the integration process will be higher, and they will be appropriately oriented and supported in their integration process.
