Description | The program is designed to address the key regulatory and market constraints for the uptake of sound ESG standards by banks (i.e. lack of capacity and knowledge, banking sector specific ESG guidelines and market level support and training). The level of ESG capacity is nascent and the focus of the program is on developing a basic market level understanding of ESG and developing ESG guidelines. Full market level adoption of ESG risk management is not expected within the life the project. The program’s components are: Component 1 Regulatory Level: ESG Guideline Development Component 2 Market Level: Sector-wide and consultant training Component 3 Firm Level: ESG support to IFC pre-pipeline, pipeline, upstream and clients |
