The project involves installing 30 new weather stations across Pennsylvania, mostly on school properties, to enhance real-time weather monitoring and flood warning capabilities. The upgraded system, renamed the Pennsylvania Environmental Monitoring Network (PEMN), integrates data from multiple agencies to improve emergency preparedness and also serves as an educational tool in schools. |
