The objective of the program is to solve the social, environmental and urban problems that cause the current occupation conditions in the basin of the Igarapé Educandos-Cuarenta in the city of Manaus. The specific objectives are: (i) improve the sanitary conditions and reduce the number of diseases of hydric origin in the population, with the enlargement of drinking water services and sewerage; (ii) improve the living and environmental conditions of the floodable areas trough canalization and drainage; and (iii) improve the operative capacity and management of the institutions involved in the program.
