Description
Description | IGHNx EU 2025: Empowering Women for a Healthier Europe The IGHN-EUx 2025 event, titled Empowering Women for a Healthier Europe, is a two-day conference designed to address systemic barriers hindering the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) with a strong focus on gender equity. This event will bring together over 200 in-person participants, including policymakers, healthcare professionals, women leaders in health, and marginalized communities, to engage in meaningful discussions and policy development aimed at improving healthcare access and equity across Europe. In addition to in-person engagement, the event will be livestreamed to attract at least 500 live online viewers, amplifying the reach and impact of the discussions. The recorded content will be accessible globally through the IGHN YouTube channel, ensuring the lasting visibility of project outcomes. The event will emphasize broad and inclusive participation, particularly highlighting the role of women and underrepresented groups such as migrant women and youth, in healthcare leadership. By addressing intersectional challenges—such as migration, race, and socio-economic status—the event will contribute to shaping healthcare policies that are equitable, patient-centered, and reflective of the diverse populations they serve. The diverse participant base will foster collaboration, drive innovation, and ensure that policy recommendations reflect a perspective, advancing UHC and gender equity. |
