It includes widening Illinois 159 to the east and Glen Carbon Road to the south to create dedicated right-turn lanes for northbound traffic on Illinois 159 and eastbound traffic on Glen Carbon Road. The new turn lanes are being built in front of Walgreens and the ZX convenience store to reduce traffic congestion and backups. Construction began in July 2025 and is expected to be finished in the summer of 2026. |
