The project involves the construction of a 25MW solar power plant in the Pobè region of the Republic of Benin. The primary objective of the project is to contribute to increasing electricity coverage in Benin, achieving more self-sufficiency, and reducing dependence on electricity imports. Sponsor is Japanese company Toyota Tsusho and the EPC contractor is German-based RMT. This second phase follows the $65 million first phase with a capacity of 25MWp, which was financed by the State of Benin, with support from the European Union and the French Development Agency (AFD).
