Description
Description | Alentek Enerji was planning the development of the 45 MW Susurluk wind farm, near Susurluk, Balikesir province. The project was designed to comprise 18 turbines of 2.5 MW, producing an annual output of 145 GWh. Alentek Enerji was an SPV set up by Iltek Iletsim Teknolojileri, the wind power subsidiary of Turkish industrial conglomerate Eksim Investment holding. The project was commissioned in February 2011. Equipment was supplied by German Nordex under a supply contract signed in November 2010. Iltek Iletsim holds permits for a total of seven wind farms, including Susurluk, with a total capacity of 246.5 MW. Amongst these wind farms are the 40 MW Amasya and the 40 MW Tokat wind farms, also equiped with Nordex turbines under an equipment supply contract for 16 turbines announced in August 2011 and financed through Turkey's Yapi Kredi Bank (EUR68 million, $90.4 million). Nordex' local subsidiary was Nordex Enerji AS. The project company has applications pending for a further 584 MW of wind capacity and 294 MW of hydropower. The turbine purchase was financed through Ak Bank, Turkey, with a EUR37 million ($51 million) loan. As of October 2011, no further details about the financial structure of the project were available. http://www.eksim.com.tr/en/sectors/energy/wind_power_plants.html |
