Description

Description

The proposed Bank loan of $50.0 million would meet about two-thirds of IMDBI's requirements for procurement abroad until the end of calendar 1973. IMDBI must, therefore, seek additional sources of foreign capital for the remaining one-third. As under previous loans, prior Bank approval would be necessary for each sub-project requiring Bank funds in excess of $1.0 million and the aggregate free limit would be maintained at $17 million. The foreign exchange risk will be passed on by IMDBI to its borrowers. The debt/equity limit will remain 7:1. The proposed loan would be restricted to financing the cost of imported goods and services needed for investments supported by IMDBI.
