Implementation of a twinning project in Újszentmargita

This project provides an opportunity for us to exchange views between twin-cities, deepen inter-municipal cooperation, exchange experiences, and discuss the effects of the recent COVID19 pandemic on local communities. The Municipality of Újszentmargita has a twin-city agreement with both Gmina Kakolewnica and Comuna Corund. The project contributes to the consolidation of twinning relations. Our aim is to draw attention to the richness of Europe's cultural and linguistic environment. The aim is to promote mutual understanding and tolerance, thus supporting the development of a European identity. We expect the following results from the implementation of this project: - the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between Hungarian-Polish-Romanian European citizens - deepening and strengthening of twinning relations - a deeper understanding of each other's cultures - deepening the sense of belonging to the European Union - increasing recognition of the added value provided by the European Union, strengthening the Community approach Hungary, Romania and Poland also directly benefit from the effects of this project, including the participating cities and the citizens of these cities. The main location of the project is Újszentmargita (Hungary). The implementation period of the project as planned is 26/05/2022 - 29/05/2022. The main activities are: - Presentation of the delegations of the municipalities - With the members of the delegation we will visit the institutions of Újszentmargita. Exchange of experiences on the educational, social and youth situations in the three countries, on the new challenges caused by the COVID19 pandemic. - Each participating delegation will present its recent European Union projects. - Inviting a distinguished rapporteur with whom we can review the opportunities offered by the next planning period. - An official festive conference where we will be able to hear festive greetings, after which the existing twin-city agreem
