Description
Description | Implementation of “Find a Lawyer” search engine (Latvia and Bulgaria) The FAL project aligns itself with the key objectives of the Action Plan which aim to improve access to justice, while digitalizing cross-border legal procedures. The project’s main objective, as mentioned in the description, is to simplify EU citizens’ and companies’ access to information in justice. In addition to enforcement professionals, citizens and companies will also benefit from this project. Now there is no data about Latvia and Bulgaria in this common search engine – Find a Lawyer - so there definitely is needed to join EU family of countries already represented. Citizens and businesses using the FAL search engine will benefit with delivering to lawyers a more effective and reliable tool to enable their participation in e-proceedings with a cross-border element. It will guarantee better administration of justice, by simplifying a citizen’s access to a lawyer, introducing electronic tools to replace bureaucratic cross-border procedures and centralizing lawyers’ information from the only trusted source - the bars’ register. Project is directly linked to the Call for proposals for action grants to support national or transnational e-Justice projects JUST-JACC-EJU-AG-2019. The project directly aims to contribute to achieving the objectives of the European e-Justice Strategy and Action Plan for the 2019-2023 period and achieve the aim of the programme - support the implementation of e-Justice projects within the European e-Justice Portal. The project will support the one of the priorities – introduction of the Find a Lawyer option. Likewise, FAL is in line with the priorities of the European Commission’s call which aim to enhance existing or ongoing e-Justice Portal projects. The FAL Directory will, subsequently, join the European e-Justice Portal alongside “Find a bailiff” and “Find a Notary”. |
