The Swedish National Coordination Centre (NCC-SE) aims to play a vital role in boosting research excellence and the competitiveness of the Union in the field of cybersecurity. With this project, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency establishes the necessary processes and an administrative setup that will allow NCC-SE to fulfil its tasks. Communication is a vital tool for NCC-SE and to this end MSB puts focus on building the capacity to communicate to and gather information from the Swedish Cybersecurity Competence Community (Cybernode) on issues of common interest, research and innovation. Through effective communication, NCC-SE can promote its role as a National Contact Point and coordinate effectively the Swedish Cybersecurity Competence Community. Communication is also vital in fostering cross-border cooperation and at the preparation of joint actions as defined in the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Centre and Network regulation. Furthermore, through the provision of Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) NCC-SE will aim to give incentives to national SME’s, academia and start-ups to engage in innovation activities and produce and uptake valuable solutions in the area of Cybersecurity.
