The general objective of the Program is to reduce the electricity consumption in the public sector and to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through technological substitution and the implementation of energy efficiency measures in public lighting in priority areas to support citizen security and tourism. The specific objectives of the intervention are: (i) to reduce the consumption of imported fossil fuels for generation and consequently public spending; (ii) to incorporate digital or other technologies that allow an improvement in public lighting management; and (iii) strengthen the capacities of personnel of state institutions in efficient technology management.
