Implementation of the ETCS on-board units L2B3 into selected traction vehicles of CD Cargo, a.s.

"The project aims at establishing a smart and interoperable mobility through the deployment of ETCS Level 2 – Baseline 3 – set #2 –3.6.0 on a fleet of 50 freight internationally operable locomotives, 50 On-Board Units (OBUs). The project consists of a serial retrofitting of traction vehicles – locomotives. Upon the project completion, the fleet of locomotives will be operating along three European Transport Corridors: i) Baltic Sea – Adriatic Sea, ii) Rhine – Danube, iii) Baltic – Black – Aegean Seas. The retrofitting of the 50 freight locomotives will positively contribute to further improvements in safety, reductions in delays, increases in the operational capacity, and eventually, cross-border continuity/accessibility and interoperability of train operations across Europe."
