Implementation of the European Week of Sport in Hungary in 2024-2025

"The National School, University and Leisure Sport Federation (NSULF), as newly appointed national coordinating body for the European Week of Sport, will build on the previously developed #BeActive brand and continue to shape further partnerships with relevant recreational sport actors aiming to raise visibility of EWoS and to promote regular physical activity among Hungarian citizens. NSULF will be a central hub for #BeActive activities, coordinating #BeActive related events, communication and partnerships. Special priority will be given to the health-promoting physical activities in educational setting, as NSULF member organisations have the most relevant national networks in school and university sport. In 2024, the European Week of Sport will take place during the Hungarian EU Presidency, which is a special occasion for the promotion of Olympic values, sustainability and legacy of major sport events in the grassroots sport sector. In this sense, the recently built Athletic Stadium in Budapest will be used as central venue, allowing Hungarian citizens access to a top sport venue, while practicing recreational type of health-enhancing physical activities and sports. #BeActive Night will be also organised here. In 2025 the EWoS implementation will be conceptually connected to the celebration of the 100 year-anniversary of the University of Sport Science. The #BeActive Night will be organised at the new sports infrastructure of the University, and health promotion of citizens will receive special attention. "
