Improvement of fire protection resources in Ukmerge-Sejny

Taking into consideration increasing number of fires in Poland and Lithuania and the lack of the National funding for properly preparation of human recourses and good condition material resources which cause problems to provide quality firefighting services to citizens and assure proper safety and security level in Lithuania-Poland. For these reasons Ukmergės district municipality firefighting department together with Municipality of Sejny (which represents volunteer firefighting team Bubele) submits the project "Improvement of fire protection resources in Ukmerge-Sejny" which goal is improvement of fire protection material and human resources in order to strengthen fire protection services in Lithuanian-Polish border. The project's target groups are the firefighters and of Ukmergės district and Sejny as well as people Ukmergė and Sejny areas. Project goal will be achieved with help of these activities: common training of firefighters-rescuers, driving fire vehicles, a common conference in Poland called ,,Advantages, necessity and organization of voluntary firefighters activities”, purchase of equipment (needed to improve firefighting services provision and for firefighters conference). These activities will help strengthen firefighting human and material resources for the more effective provision of firefighting services in Lithuania-Poland cross-border.
