A total of 3 WPs are planned over a period of 24 month. WP 1 summarizes all organizational tasks of the overall project. The objective of WP 2 is to produce Germany’s first HDA estimates for income, consumption, and savings for a selected reference year. This implies the study of methodology of HDA, the analysis of different micro data sets, closing data gaps and the alignment of micro data to NA totals. WP 3 addresses elements needed to standardize our methodology for calculating GFCF in data and to produce reliable estimates on a routine basis: preventing double counting in IPP assets, enabling quarterly integration, separating productive from ancillary data, ensuring regular updates to involvement rates, and incorporating external sources for purchased data. Germany’s GDP balancing framework can be enhanced through a stronger integration of SUTs. WP 4 focuses on developing unbalanced SUTs alongside a corresponding balancing methodology. This approach will further strengthen the consistency between the expenditure and production approaches.
