Improvements on Danish LFS and LMB statistics

This project is split into two main areas; LFS and LMB. The first area intends to modernize the entire Danish LFS, rethinking both the survey vehicle and the post-processing system. One of the main themes of the overhaul will be to set up adequate metadata, which will lead to a more robust and agile production system and ensure efficiency in the LFS production. The post-processing system will be reviewed, ensuring the correct codification of variables and fewer issues when data gets to validation – and an overall increased data quality. The project will also test the new ICSE-18 questions and provide valuable feedback on the proposed framing of the questions. Additionally, the project includes a successful implementation of the 2023 module on pension and labour market participation. The LMB area is divided into a part devoted to Job Vacancies Statistics (JVS), and a part devoted to Structure of Earnings Survey (SES). The JVS part will focus on developing the methodology so that the NACE industries that are currently not included in the Danish statistics, will be included, and on developing the methodology in order to integrate the usage of administrative data in the production system. The SES part primarily will focus on developing the statistics in order to cover the micro enterprises by investigating and hopefully applying administrative data in the future production of the statistics.
