Improvements to universal access at bus stops

The Société de transport de Laval (STL) wishes to make all of its services accessible by 2030. Its Public Transit Accessibility Development Plan expresses the STL’s desire to make its bus routes accessible. In 2016, six of its routes were accessible and six more will be added by December 31, 2018. However, certain stops on these routes are not accessible due to inadequate installations. The project to improve bus stop access is intended to compensate for accessibility deficiencies and to make bus stops accessible to people in wheelchairs. To achieve this, development plans will be established and work will be performed.
