Description
Description | The project is intended to contribute to a reliable and efficient energy supply for the population in the previously inadequately supplied regions in the western part of Bangladesh, even in the face of increasing demand. This is intended to contribute to economic development and to improving living conditions in the western region of Bangladesh, as well as to the climate and environmental compatibility of the energy sector. According to the current planning status, the individual measures to be included in the project include the construction of five substations at 230/132 kV and 132/33 kV levels, as well as three transmission lines (230 kV and 132 kV) in the western zone. The project is being sponsored by the state-owned energy supplier Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB), which is responsible for the management and operation of the Bangladeshi electricity transmission network. The target group of the project includes consumers in the western zone of Bangladesh who are supplied by the public electricity grid. These include companies, private households and public institutions. |
