Description

Description

The aim of the project is to improve the supply of basic services to the population in the areas of education, health and water/sanitation, and to promote participation and engagement of the communities in the project regions. The core objectives are qualitatively and quantitatively better health care for women and children, improved access to drinking water and sanitation and the use of hygiene practices in a larger number of households, an increased number of children who have access to basic education, and the protection of children and young people from violence and exploitation. Around 250,000 - 400,000 people (including 150,000 children) in nine neglected districts in the states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile are expected to benefit from the measures. The project is being sponsored by the UN organization UNICEF. The Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) is providing a total of EUR 18,820,000 over four years for financing.
