Description | MOLG aims to improve the process of dismantling end-of-life consumer laptop PC batteries, by deploying five robotic cells ("microfactories") capable of dismantling top ten stock keeping units (SKUs) of commonly used consumer PC laptops and laptop batteries at 50% the cost of the state-of-the-art. The project will design consumer laptops and laptop batteries for sustainability, by creating at least three New Product Introduction (NPI) products using new Design for Disassembly (DfD) software products ("toolchains"), for top US PC companies, to improve the speed of disassembly by 50%. |
