Description | The aim of the project is to improve the HICP and the French CPI and to develop innovations, both in a continuous improvement process of the indices and to comply with European requirements like the switch to the COICOP 2018. The project covers several dimensions: - use of new data sources: web scraped data on hotel prices, hard discounter scanner data; - use of new methodologies: new methodologies of classification, multilateral methods; - implementation of the COICOP 2018 for the change of base 2026, double production of the indices for 2025, backcasting series - optimisation of the field data collection through evolutions in the sampling of urban areas. |
