Description

The project, designed as an open program, aims to contribute to the overarching development policy goal of improving the health of the population, especially mothers and small children. The module goal is to increase the use of the improved quality of medical care, especially for pregnant women and newborns, in the selected health facilities in the Mid- and Far-West regions. This is to be achieved through rehabilitation/new construction, electricity, water and sewage supplies, improved hygiene conditions, equipment, communication options, contraceptive supplies, and project-related training and further education measures. The target group of the program includes mainly pregnant women, mothers and newborns, as well as women of reproductive age in the selected districts of the Mid- and Far-West regions of Nepal. The total costs are estimated at EUR 11.5 million; the FC funds for implementing the program amount to EUR 10.0 million.
