Improving Raw Material Equivalent Estimation in Environmental-Economic Accounts
Sector: Government • Location: Germany
Source: EU Funding & Tenders Portal
The project encompasses various improvements in German raw material equivalent (RME) estimation using input-output-modelling techniques, and RME data production. In detail, we plan to improve harmonization of RME estimation with other modules of environmental-economic accounting, e.g. economy-wide material flow accounts (EW-MFA) and input-output modelling for energy and carbon dioxide emission flo

Description
Description | The project encompasses various improvements in German raw material equivalent (RME) estimation using input-output-modelling techniques, and RME data production. In detail, we plan to improve harmonization of RME estimation with other modules of environmental-economic accounting, e.g. economy-wide material flow accounts (EW-MFA) and input-output modelling for energy and carbon dioxide emission flows. Furthermore, we intend to examine whether various coefficients used in the model are still valid or if an update is necessary. We plan to produce RME estimates up to reporting year 2022 and to investigate systematically the uncertainty arising from using previous years' input-output-tables to improve timeliness of our estimation. |
