The accomplishments relative to the implementation of the three key commitments since the signing of the Bologna Process in 1999 have been impressive. Nevertheless, further effort is required to ensure a more inclusive, innovative and interconnected higher education sector at a global scale, in line with European Higher Education Area vision. Thus, the IN-GLOBAL project relies on the strategic collaboration between Associazione CIMEA, the Romanian Ministry of Education, the University Politehnica of Bucharest and Prime Minister Office of Albania in its capacity as BFUG Secretariat and host of the Global Policy Forum 2024 for the achievement of this objective. It aims to support the rigorous work of the Task Force on enhancing knowledge sharing in the EHEA community and the Coordination Group on Global Policy Dialogue. The objectives outlined in the project strategy fully comply with the values and principles of the EHEA community enshrined within the Rome Communiqué 2020. IN-GLOBAL comprises five work packages projected to map out the stakeholders operating in the higher education sector within and beyond the EHEA geographical borders, as well as the gaps and challenges faced in the successful implementation of policies and initiatives relative to the Bologna Process. This project relies on the adoption of a peer approach for the diffusion of good practices not only among members of the EHEA but also to promote fruitful dialogue with other macro-regions. They aim to ensure that the process goes beyond mere introduction but permeates the society and is effectively perceived by the community. Moreover, the transversal WPs are targeted towards the enactment of systematic dissemination strategies for EHEA vision and actions and ascertaining a sustainable impact on the social dimension of higher education which goes beyond the lifetime of the project itself.
