"In 2020, the European Commission launched a public consultation. Citizens, civil society and stakeholders were invited to share their experiences and expectations with regard to future initiatives. EU citizens were of the opinion that ""enabling citizens to engage in policy discussions is the best thing Europe can do to raise awareness of many issues. Educating people about the challenges we now face should be a top priority for the EU. The project we are proposing is fully in line with the views of EU citizens. Our strategy is to ensure that the international partnership between municipalities is strengthened and to address the issues that surround the lives of our citizens. The activities that we have put together in the program will help to communicate with each other, increase the EU's importance and, conversely, reduce the remaining doubts - Euroscepticism and help engage the general public. We prefer to show the meaning of volunteering, the importance of strengthening the European integration process on the basis of solidarity, the positive nature of migration, the nonsense of discriminatory behavior and the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on local communities, a better cohesive future for the EU. In our view, it is not right for the public to be passive towards public policies. Every citizen has an important impact if he is as well informed as possible about the EU, its benefits, goals and progress, and the rights deriving from European citizenship. Every citizen living in the EU should be concerned about the future for him, his family and his children. Another of the activities in the program will help. Mainly for these reasons, it is important to express and promote their opinion, proposals and possible solutions, and consequently such an impact will become long-term and important for all citizens."
