The S3-Connect project is a transformative, non-profit, large-scale sports event planned by FIPAV in 2026 in Rome, Italy. It is designed to redefine volleyball (and other sports) as a tool for developing motor, technical, and social-relational skills. By engaging young people and communities, S3-Connect will play a pivotal role in strengthening sports’ contribution to social development and promoting a healthy, inclusive, and active lifestyle while extending the innovative S3 format and Education Through Sport (ETS) principles throughout Europe. At the core of the initiative lies a strong emphasis on cooperation, inclusion, and ethical values, which are central to the ETS methodology. The project focuses on enjoyment and engagement, creating a fun and stimulating environment that appeals to young people. This approach encourages participation and fosters the development of essential life skills. Moreover, the project’s adaptability ensures that the methodology can extend beyond volleyball, with workshops showcasing its application to other sports and activities. Aligned with EU objectives, the project focuses on three key goals: 1.Encourage Healthy Lifestyles and Physical Activity among youth and communities, aiming to increase participation and improve both physical and mental well-being. 2.Promote Social Inclusion Through Sport, providing accessible opportunities for engagement, teamwork, and breaking down barriers to participation. 3.Expand the S3 Event Model and ETS Methodology across Europe by building a network of connected events that can be replicated in various countries
