Inclusion of marginalised areas in the Upper Rhine region

For many years, the governments and regional and local authorities of France, Germany and Switzerland have been undertaking programmes to meet the challenges posed by marginalised areas on the outskirts of major cities. However, these different public actors are not familiar with each other and are not able to benefit from their neighbours’ potential for innovation. The MARGE project has three aims in developing joint tools and strategies between public authorities in border areas: - Systematically foster dialogue between public authorities and local actors - Increase know-how and disseminate innovative practices and methods used by professionals working in urban social development - Develop training for professionals, public authorities and social services to foster cross-border expertise and communication
