The project originally did not contemplate the mining sector but now includes it. The proposal maintains controversial points such as the License for Adhesion and Commitment (LAC) and the Special Environmental License (LAE), which have generated criticism for potentially facilitating exploitation without considering environmental risks. The proposal also suggests changes that could weaken the National Environmental Council (CONAMA) and increase autonomy of state and municipal agencies in the licensing process. The vote on the project is scheduled to take place by July 16, 2025. |
