The INCLUSION PLUS project promotes social inclusion through sport values, aligning with the EU strategic priorities in the sports sector. It builds on the previous Inclusion FIRST project while expanding its scope to sport diplomacy, emphasizing its role in fostering international cooperation and intercultural dialogue. A key component is a collection of inspirational stories PLANET SPORT, featuring the impact of sport on inclusion and diplomacy. These stories are linked to EU sport policies, enhancing their visibility and practical application at all levels, particularly for local stakeholders. The project highlights sport diplomacy for strengthening international relations, promoting shared values, and fostering dialogue between governmental and non-governmental actors. By engaging Malta and Slovakia, it builds on the legacy of their EU Council Presidencies, which advanced policies on sport as a platform for inclusion and sport diplomacy. Aligned with the EU Work Plan for Sport and Erasmus+ priorities, INCLUSION PLUS integrates digital innovation, sustainability, and grassroots sport development. It aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice, facilitating transnational cooperation and local engagement through its four pillars: • Participation – Expanding opportunities for diverse stakeholders to engage in EU-level initiatives. • Learning – Enhancing knowledge-sharing and policy implementation. • Unity – Promoting inclusion through sport-based activities. • Sportsmanship – Reinforcing European values at the grassroots level. The project meets small-scale partnerships requirements, encouraging new and smaller organizations to participate in transnational collaborations. It integrates green and eco-friendly practices, ensuring environmental responsibility in its activities. INCLUSION PLUS enhances the EU’s commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and sport diplomacy, reinforcing sport’s role as a bridge between cultures and communities.
