The INCLUDE project puts forward a comprehensive program, involving research, direct action and the development of learning resources, to educate and support coaches, executives and staff of sports academies working with young athletes (12-18 years old) so that they can actively contribute in tackling discrimination in youth sports. They will also be empowered to have a positive contribution in furthering the level of inclusion and broadening the opportunity to participate in sport for youth from all backgrounds. Moreover, the project will take concrete action to raise awareness and call to action to address and mitigate discrimination in the field of youth sports. Namely INCLUDE aims to: ● Tackle and root out discriminatory behaviours from youth sport and contribute to making youth sport safe and accessible for all youth and children regardless of their ethnicity, religion, ability, gender, sexual orientation ● Improve the knowledge and competencies of coaches and sports academies staff, thus empowering them to combat violence and tackle discrimination ● Develop training and resources to support sports academies to be more inclusive. ● Increase awareness with regards to the role of sport in promoting social inclusion, equal opportunities and health. ● Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing between practitioners across the EU To that end, the project will: - Conduct research and compile a report on Discrimination in Youth Sport - Produce Blended Learning Curriculum and Toolkit for Sport Coaches - Develop a Gamified eLearning Platform that will make available and accessible all learning resources of the project Through the work and actions of the project, it is expected that: - 550 sport professionals and stakeholders will be involved in its research - 1100 sport professionals and stakeholders will be trained and/or access its learning resources - Engage more than 50,000 individuals and professionals via its events and awareness-raising activities
