Description

Description

According to the IESS regulation, the NSIs, Statistics Estonia among them, are required to adapt a multiannual rolling planning on specific topics and ad-hoc subject requested by policy users. The general objective of this project is the implementation of the 2022 three yearly module on Health and the six yearly module on Quality of life according to the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1721 of 17 November 2020, specifying the technical items of data sets of the sample survey in the income and living conditions domain on health and quality of life pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council, gives detailed specification on the implementation of the 2022 three yearly module on Health and the six yearly module on Quality of life. The modules will be a part of the Estonian Social Survey (Estonian EU-SILC). The data collected on health and quality of life are necessary for making development plans and projects in the relevant field of research, also for policy planning, applied and scientific research and for making informed decisions. In addition, the mission of Statistics Estonia is to reflect the situation and changes in the society and offer information important for demographic, social, economic and environmental development of Estonia. The main interested parties on health and quality of life issues are the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs and the National Institute for Health Development since the modules will provide information on health care, health determinants, health status and disability and data on well-being and on cultural and social participation. Statistics Estonia will conduct activities described under Objective 3 of the Call document -- new/amended variables in the EU-SILC data collection (three yearly module on Health and the six yearly module on Quality of Life).
