Increasing efficiency in the SONEDE II networks

The project aims to reduce technical and commercial water losses in the SONEDE networks and the energy costs of the water supply. The measures will be carried out primarily in central and southern Tunisia, the regions with particularly severe water shortages. This will benefit the population supplied by the national water supplier SONEDE, whose supply quality and continuity will increase significantly thanks to the improvement of the supply networks. This is intended to help mitigate the constantly increasing demand for water, protect groundwater resources from overuse and sensitize the population to economical water use.
