Description

Description

The main goal of the project is to increase the participation of deaf people in the perception of culture by better adapting international cultural events to their specific needs. This goal will be achieved through four specific goals: assessing the impact of culture on sign languages, developing training on the specificity of deaf people and sign language adequate for institutions, organizing international meetings in the field of culture, practical testing of the developed results, dissemination of the developed results. The project has an international character and a European or even global dimension. The direct target group of the project (the group of so-called users) consists of people involved in the organization of international cultural events, as well as institutions engaged in such activities. They are the addressees of the results that are to be worked out in this project. In this group can be identified representatives of such professions as: event producers, venue managers, booking managers, artist managers, curators, stage designers, stage technicians, sound/light/multimedia engineers, creative directors, musicians, dancers, choreographers, marketing executives, and also security personnel. It is also possible to indicate indirect target groups of the project that will benefit from its implementation (groups of so-called recipients) - these will be mainly adults with sensory disability who, thanks to the implementation of developed solutions, will receive a culture offer tailored to their needs and expectations. The project includes the implementation of four WPs. Two of them (WP2 and WP3) concern directly the preparation of project results, WP1 focuses on project management, coordination of activities and collecting feedback, and WP4 on information about the project and dissemination of its results. The partnership consists of four entities from three European Union countries: Poland, Cyprus and Greece.
