Description

Indie Film AS applies for development of four strong creative feature documentaries, MOTHERS, by director Katja Høgseth, TOWARDS THE ABYSS, by director Mads Brügger, GOODBYE ANDY BROWN, by director Lars Erlend Tubaas Øymo and PEDER ANGEL by director Sverre Kvamme. The four films have a mix of experienced directors, emerging and young talent. They are European co-productions in new territories and with countries of different production capacities or with collaborations that have the potential to reach new markets in Europe and beyond. One of the films includes high profile talent which will potentially help us reach A-list festivals. The slate represents different artistic approaches to the documentary genre with animation, journalistic investigation, ensemble compilation and observational styles. This will ensure our competitiveness in the market and increase our turnover. With the projects in this slate, we will develop our producer talents by attending European workshops and markets and through co-productions. This will in turn secure our future ability to develop an increased number of films with high ambitions. The projects in this slate will make use of new and innovative tools for green productions and bring our producers to green production-workshops. As this application proves the slate will present an opportunity for us to focus on inclusion and gender balance, and in that way new talent.
