India Data Centre Capacity Expansion

India's data centre sector is expanding rapidly with investments of nearly USD 15 billion since 2020 and expected additional investments of USD 20-25 billion over the next six years. The total data centre capacity across seven major cities reached 1,263 MW as of April 2025 and is projected to surpass 4,500 MW by 2030. The physical footprint of data centres is expected to grow from 15.9 million sq ft to 55 million sq ft by 2030, driven by demand for digital services, cloud computing, AI technologies, and regulatory data localisation.
